HEARING AID FITTING

This step determines the optimum settings needed for your hearing aids. Aside from an audiogram, a PA Center for Hearing and Balance audiologist combines audiogram results and a patient’s personal impression to come up with a good fitting. The adjustment process is carried out using a computer. During hearing aid adjustments, an audiologist also teaches a client how to operate the hearing aid. It usually takes a few days before you get used to your new hearing aids and a follow-up checkup is set to assess if there are necessary adjustments to be done.
